Sterilization is one of the most important aspects of the safety of healthcare and pharmaceutical corporations in regard to medical supplies and devices. Horizontal Cylindrical Autoclaves are used to contain the medical waste at the very source to avoid the spread of infectious pathogens. They are a safe and effective method of sterilisation.
Easy to Clean and Built to Last
The Horizontal Cylindrical Autoclaves are fabricated from high-quality stainless steel (SS 304 or SS 316) capable of withstanding high-pressure sterilization conditions. For durability and corrosion resistance, we manufacture them from heavy-duty stainless steel material: stainless steel is the most suitable material in terms of meeting extremely high hygiene standards required in many facilities. Smooth and polished surfaces are easy to clean and help to reduce the potential for contamination, according to GMP.
How They Work?
The Horizontal Cylindrical Autoclaves work through several significant stages:
Decontamination: Items to be sterilized, such as surgical instruments, glassware, or laboratory equipment, are placed inside the chamber.
Air Removal: Air is removed from the chamber for effective sterilization. This is done using techniques such as vacuum systems, or steam pulsing, allowing steam to reach all aspects of the load.
Sterilization: When the air is evacuated, the chamber is filled with pressurized steam (121 °C to 134 °C) for a certain period of time depending on the type of load and required sterility assurance level.
Drying: After the sterilization phase, the autoclave may include a drying cycle to eliminate moisture from the sterilized items, preparing them for immediate use or storage.
Unloading: The sterilized items are unloaded when the cycle finishes and the chamber is back to ambient pressure and temperature, ready for use or storage.
User-Friendly Operation
Modern Horizontal Cylindrical Autoclaves are built with the user in mind:
Control Panel and Screen: Digital displays provide cycle information and alerts for both cycle parameters and status.
Ease of Maintenance: Design considerations that facilitate easy disassembly for gasket changes or chamber cleaning can help keep downtime to a minimum.
Energy Efficiency: New technology in insulation and steam generation is producing autoclaves that use less energy, in line with sustainability goals, and lower operational costs.
